JurisTech Hosts Industrial Visit from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS

On 17 September 2025, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) students visited JurisTech, gaining an exclusive glimpse into how we create solutions that power economies. 

The group of 26 undergraduate students, from programmes including Computer Science and Information Technology, arrived with curiosity and left with a deeper appreciation of how our culture of innovation and collaboration nurtures talent to thrive in the fast-evolving tech landscape.

The day began with a warm welcome from JurisTech’s Recruitment Team Lead, Elizabeth Lim, who outlined the agenda and set the tone for a day of discovery. She also offered students a broader view of the company, explaining how our solutions empower banks to deliver seamless experiences across the entire loan lifecycle for their customers.

The students were then taken on a guided office tour, where they engaged directly with representatives from JurisTech’s specialised business units, to step inside the rhythm of our workplace, where we collaborate closely to turn complex problems into seamless practical solutions.

To reflect on their experiences, the students presented short insights on what they had learned during the office tour. This peer-to-peer sharing underscored the value of real-world exposure, as theory from the classroom met the day-to-day dynamics of building and delivering enterprise lending and recovery software solutions.

Adding a personal touch to the day, one of JurisTech’s own, Evonne Lee, shared her story of growth and transformation with the students. She began her journey in JurisTech as a Software Engineering intern before advancing into senior technical roles, and later taking the bold step of moving towards a more functional and leadership-focused path as a Functional Lead. 

Speaking candidly, she inspired the students to embrace change with courage and to pursue what genuinely excites them. Her story resonated with the students deeply, offering both inspiration and a relatable example of growth within JurisTech.

Building on that message, Elizabeth spoke about how JurisTech nurtures talent through its core values: Growing Heroes, Excellence as a Habit, Customer First, and Opening Up. She noted that these principles guide Jurisians to excel within the organisation while ensuring the highest impact for our customers.

Elizabeth also spoke about the qualities JurisTech seeks in future candidates, namely passion, perseverance, and proactiveness, which underpin strong and sustainable careers. She then wrapped up by inviting the students to explore the opportunities that await them at JurisTech.

The industrial visit concluded with souvenirs and a group photo, closing the chapter on a day of learning, exchange, and inspiration. For the students, it was a glimpse into the career possibilities that lie ahead. And for JurisTech, the day reinforced our commitment to cultivate talent and champion the innovators who will define tomorrow’s tech landscape.
