15 January 2025 — In a significant move to streamline and enhance the efficiency of debt repayment processes across Malaysia, JurisTech is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK). This collaboration seeks to modernise AKPK’s technological infrastructure, focusing on improving the Debt Management Programme (DMP) through a comprehensive, automated, and secure web-based core system. The project aims to create an integrated, seamless onboarding experience for customers via the DMP Portal, ensuring smooth navigation between AKPK’s platforms. Additionally, the initiative will leverage intelligent document processing, support multiple payment methods, and offer real-time updates to enhance user experience. By optimising these processes, JurisTech and AKPK aim to provide Malaysians with effective debt management solutions, contributing to better financial stability and empowerment nationwide.

Since its establishment in 2006, AKPK has been dedicated to improving the financial well-being of Malaysians. As of June 2024, over 13.2 million individuals have participated in AKPK’s financial education initiatives, reflecting the agency’s extensive reach and impact.

Recognising the evolving financial landscape, AKPK has introduced targeted programmes such as the ‘GROW’ series during the Financial Literacy Month in October 2024. This four-part publication provides tailored financial guidance for various life stages, from tertiary education to retirement, ensuring that individuals are equipped with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions.

Leveraging JurisTech’s technological expertise, the collaboration seeks to enhance the efficiency and reach of AKPK’s debt management and financial advisory services. The new DMP system will integrate diverse functionalities, such as a dynamic user interface and seamless onboarding through multiple platforms, to create a more engaging and supportive environment. Notably, over 50% of AKPK’s DMP clients are under 40 years old, underlining the importance of early financial education and support.
